Instant Noodle Doodle.

.
Tasya asked me to purchase some Maggi mee in-the-bowl on my way home. She got used to the food whilst studying in London, and thought of having it tonight.

Ikram accused me of practising a double standard.
He has been stopped from consuming instant noodle. I have always insisted that he eats healthy freshly prepared meals, which is good for his mental development.

Ikram: I thought you said monosodium glutamate will hamper the progress of neuron connectivity in your brain?...(I made that up without referring to any medical journals).

mama: yep!

Ikram: How come Kak Sya may request for Maggi mee whilst I can't??????

mama: It's OK for Kak Sya to languish a bit since she is already so clever.

Ikram: what about me?

mama: You have to first prove yourself with valid documentation.

Ikram: well, I've just received my monthly exam result today. I scored 88 marks for my modern maths and 90 marks for my additional maths......

mama:......(terlopong......wanting to hug him from the driver's seat)......Congratulations, Ikram!!! so, all these ferrying you to and fro tuition centres, with me growing old behind the wheels has finally shown some results???

Ikram: Yeah, it appears that it wasn't a result of abstaining from eating instant noodles!!!!

The moment we reached home, other members of the family were waiting around dinner table. I entered the dining area and made an announcement:
'Fellas, listen! Ikram has just received his monthly exam result today, and he scored 90 marks for Add Maths!'

Everybody jumped from their seats.
The kitchen burst into euphoria.
The cats dispersed frantically in all directions as if asking 'what?..what???...what??????'....
Papa stood up and firmly shook Ikram's hand:
'Congratulations Ikram! From 10 marks to 90 marks after 3 months of tuition!!
We are so proud of you!!!!'

(mental note: If Ikram scores A1 for both his Modern Maths and Add Maths in his upcoming SPM Exam, I'll get a pair of imported sarees from Mumbai for the dearest fierce Mrs. Radha!)

Ikram: err..mama...may I have a bowl of instant noodle for dinner tonight???
mama: NO!

Dictatorship rules and is still alive and thriving in my household!!
