A mother's daughter?

.
Ikram said he did some quiz which was put up by a lifestyle, health and medical page.
He answered some questions like:
How often do you exercise? Never.
What do you eat daily? Junk Food.
What's your activities? Sedentary.
etc.
etc.
and with all those horrifying answers, the result said that he will live up to 76years old and will probably die of cancer.

mama: that easy?

Ikram: yep, not to worry considering the average lifespan for a man is 72years.

mama: if you manage to remain after 70, you'll live to collect the RM1.5m I insured your life for!
Ikram: if I perish at 69?

mama: I will collect it on your behalf, provided I manage to outlive you until I'm 101!

Ikram: I hope you will!!

mama: I don't think so, Ikram. As it is now I'm already so tired, juggling everything in one life!

Ikram: But could you please try to be around at least until I could introduce my future wife to you?

mama: Why?

Ikram: I want her to witness what a terror you are, so that she'll understand how I survived my childhood! And she could then write it all in her blog!!! HA, HA, HA!!!!!

mama: Ikram, people laugh at jokes, not insults!! #%^#!!!!

Could my kids be seeing me the way I see my own mother?
Oh, No!!
I hope Ikram is joking!
He is probably trying to scare me off, since he is now in the process of negotiating a Honda Civic instead of the Proton Gen2 which I promised he'll get, once he has a driver's license after his SPM.

I need a brainstorming session with papa tonight!!!!!!!........

Have you read My Mother Myself by Nancy Friday? Read this years ago...whether we like it or not we do morph into our mothers -..hehe!

Kak Teh, I suppose that's the reason why I have to consciously select which traits I don't need to morph into in order to make my kids' lives more meaningful.
