A dearest friend passed away in Los Angeles, last night.
He went away with lots of unfinished business.
May his wife and children remain strong throughout this yet another test in their high profile lives.
And another promise broken, that he was going to be there as a guest-of-honour during my daughter's wedding reception at the end of this month!

It was some 10 years ago when he confided that the doctor was not too happy with a little dot on his lung. I told him to quit smoking and that was that....until this week's major shock!
It gave us the reality of how precarious our borrowed little space on earth is.
We propose, Allah disposes.
