Raya Joy

Hari Raya to my mum, the family patriarch, is everyone must be home. Home is Kampong Pulau Pandan, Kuala Pilah in N. Sembilan.

On almost other days, she lives alone, out of her own choice.

So it was last Raya when we made that important trip with various tales of traffic jams, angry with children who could not take a day off from work before the Eid, cats left alone with a buffet of catfood in the kitchen, etc.

Mum had her wish came true when ALL of us turned up, 8 children, 8 children-in-law, 28 grandchildren, 3 grandchildren-in-law, 6 great grandchildren and 38 handphones.

Selamat Hari Raya, mak! Ampun kan semua dosa saya ya!!!!

Hi Jo,
Selamat Hari Raya to you and family too!....

Itu baru adik beradik punya anak, menantu and cucu.
Belum masuk sedara mara yang lain. Maklum lah orang Kuala Pilah, there's a saying which says that kalau kambing jatuh dalam parit pun kita kena balik kampong menjenguk!

mama rock,
'Ramai' sungguh handphones dengan berbagai jenis bunyi deringan dan sms alerts sepanjang Hari Raya di kampong....

Mama Irma, rare is the occassion when we can get everyone together but when we do, there's the rush for the plugs for the handphones!! I remember this well, every corner of the old house - there's a handphone being recharged. And on top of that, all manner of ring tones!

Selamat hari raya - (belum terlambat, kan?)

Kak Teh,
Yang lebih hillarious nya, cuma ada satu spot at a corner of the kitchen where the reception is the clearest! So, all phones are placed there and whoever wants to make or receive calls from their handphones will have to squat somewhere there!!! Ha,ha,ha......

anasalwa,
It required a lot of commitment from every member of the family to make it happen.

With all the sedaras and the many handphones around, ada tak yang tertinggal and terhilang Mama Irma? Just curious. Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya!!
